Today our pupils had a wonderful workshop with  a professional Blacksmith Richard Eaton . He set up a real forge in the school today and our pupils spent the day  working and creating forged items with the most basic of tools. They were pumping the bellows to force air into the fire and striking/hitting glowing pieces of iron to form beautiful items and using techniques that haven’t changed since the Iron Age. Fantastic active learning

Our pupils are busy making decorative ceramic tiles with ceramicist  Christien for the wall of our school. Can’t wait to share the finished work of art !
