Mrs Binions visited the Senior room for 6 weeks to work on some Fabric and Fibre projects .
Local History and Geography
Our Senior room pupils have been very busy historians researching their local History and Geography . They have investigated and researched a number of primary and secondary sources as well as interviewing members of the local community to create Google Slide Presentations on aspects of their local history. They used their mapping skills to create maps of the local areas identifying local natural features , amenities and historical areas of interest. The projects are fantastic and pupils put in great effort. They have been entered into a local history competition so fingers crossed ! Senior Room pupils then became the teachers for the Junior room and taught the junior room about some local history! Please click on the projects to view them and learn more about the History of our lovely village .
World Book Day
We really enjoyed World Book Day today in Ballymurphy.
The senior room interviewed historical fiction author Caroline Busher on zoom and asked her lots of interesting questions. We got lots of tips on how to write our own stories and where to find inspiration .
Our Junior room brought in their favourite books and paired up with some of our senior room pupils for paired reading .
