Easter Bonnet Upcycling Competition

As a greenschool we are always looking for new and innovative ways to recycle and reuse. This year we hope to enter our lovely Easter Bonnets in an Upcycling competition.

Pupils in groups designed their Easter Bonnets using recycled materials. They collected the different materials from home like lids from bottles and milk cartons , cardboard boxes , egg cartons , yoghurt cartons,  buttons , toilet roll holders etc and turned them into all things spring! Chicks,  daffodils , rabbits, caterpillars ladybirds etc. with a little paper maiche and paint. Great Teamwork

A Visit from Ballymurphy Celtic Ladies Soccer Team now County Champions!

Pupils were very excited today when some players from the Ballymurphy Celtic  Ladies soccer team, now County Champions, arrived at school with the Cup. Many of our pupils were at the final and are very hopeful someday they too will be celebrating such a fantastic win when they are old enough to play on the Ballymurphy Celtic Ladies team.  Well done to the team from all in Ballymurphy National School.
